Northwest Miami-Dade, FL (January 26, 2026) – One person was killed in a deadly highway crash on Saturday on State Road 836 near Northwest 57th Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade. The crash occurred when a silver Toyota Corolla traveling at high speed slammed into the rear of a flatbed truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The violent impact left the driver of the Toyota fatally injured. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the individual dead. The driver of the flatbed truck was not hurt in the incident.

Following the crash, the westbound lanes of SR-836 were shut down for approximately four hours as investigators worked to document the scene and crews removed the wreckage. The roadway was later reopened.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision, including the speed factor and roadway conditions at the time.
