Dangers of Multi-Vehicle Highway Collisions
Crashes involving multiple vehicles often occur at higher speeds and can quickly become severe due to the combined forces of several vehicles. Highways and rural routes may present additional risks when traffic moves quickly, and drivers have limited time to react.
Emergency responders typically close portions of roadways to allow investigators to document the scene and safely remove damaged vehicles.
