Oakland, CA (January 15, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred Wednesday afternoon on northbound I-880 just south of the 29th Ave off-ramp, causing temporary lane blockages and traffic disruption.
The incident was first reported around 1:20 p.m. and involved a blue Nissan Altima, a silver Hyundai Genesis, and a black Honda Accord. According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, all three vehicles were initially blocking lane 1 before being moved to the right-hand shoulder.
Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene, and at least one individual was treated for injuries. CHP units and tow services responded to clear the damaged vehicles and assist those involved.
Traffic lanes were reopened once the scene was secured, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
