San Angelo, TX (August 22, 2026) – A San Angelo police officer was injured on Friday, August 21, when another vehicle struck the officer’s vehicle while it was responding to a separate motor vehicle accident.
The collision occurred at the intersection of South Bryant Boulevard and South Jackson Street. The officer was traveling with emergency lights and sirens activated when a white passenger vehicle heading east on South Jackson Street struck the police vehicle.
The officer was taken for treatment of minor injuries. As of the latest report, the driver of the white vehicle had not been cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, though a citation could be issued later. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
