Waldorf, MD (August 10, 2026) – First responders were called to Smallwood Drive West and O’Donnell Place in Waldorf late on Saturday night, August 8, after a serious crash involving two vehicles. Three people were injured, and crews received initial reports of a person trapped inside one of the vehicles.
A 19-year-old man suffered a serious open fracture to his right leg, and a tourniquet was applied before he was flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for trauma treatment. Two women, ages 25 and 27, were also injured in the crash. Both were taken by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. Our thoughts are with those injured as they continue to receive medical care.
