Why Multi-Vehicle Intersection Accidents Can Be Severe

Intersections are common locations for serious traffic accidents because vehicles approach from different directions and must react to changing traffic conditions. Reviews of these collisions frequently include vehicle positions, traffic controls, roadway conditions, and witness accounts to help determine how the accident unfolded.

The severity of injuries can increase when multiple vehicles are involved or when one catches fire after a collision. Drivers can help reduce the risk of intersection accidents by obeying traffic signals, slowing as they approach crossings, and remaining alert for other vehicles. Safe driving habits and careful attention at intersections can help prevent many serious roadway collisions.
