South Windsor, CT (June 28, 2026) – A 55-year-old Vernon man lost his life in a Friday afternoon, June 26, wreck on Interstate 291 West in South Windsor. The two-vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. between the Exit 2 off-ramp and on-ramp.
According to state police, a Bloomfield man was driving ahead when the Vernon driver, later identified as Kennedy Osayande, struck the rear of his vehicle. Osayande was fatally hurt and was pronounced dead at the roadside. No additional information about the other driver was immediately available.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the wreck, and more information may be released as it becomes available.
