Laurel County, KY (August 28, 2026) – One person was killed on Wednesday afternoon, August 26, in a fiery crash involving several commercial vehicles on Interstate 75 near mile marker 33 between Corbin and London.
The London City Fire Department said the collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and authorities closed portions of the interstate for investigation and cleanup.
The southbound lanes later reopened, while the northbound lanes remained closed for an extended period. Drivers were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.
Authorities continue investigating the fatal crash. We extend our sincere condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.
