South Bloomfield, OH (July 1, 2026) – A 29-year-old man lost his life in a collision involving an SUV and a semitruck early on Monday, June 29, on US-23 at the intersection with Rudi Lane and State Route 752 in the Village of South Bloomfield.
According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, the Peterbilt semitruck had stopped at the traffic light and was attempting to turn north onto US-23 from Rudi Lane around 4:35 a.m. At the same time, William Robishaw of Wooster was driving a 2025 Nissan Rogue southbound on US-23 and did not stop at the traffic signal.
The SUV struck the semitruck, causing the Nissan to travel underneath the trailer before spinning out. Robishaw was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:44 a.m.
