Grand Saline, TX (August 7, 2026) – One person lost their life in a house fire early on Thursday morning at a residence in the 3000 block of FM 1255 in Grand Saline.
The fire was reported just after midnight. According to officials, neighbors attempted to warn and evacuate the occupant, but heavy smoke and rapidly worsening fire conditions made it unsafe to enter the home. Emergency personnel began fire suppression efforts and searched the residence after arriving.
During the search, one person was found dead inside the home. The victim’s identity has not been released while family members are being notified. The cause of the fire and where it started remain under investigation. The investigation into the fatal fire is ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
