Middleburgh, NY (August 29, 2026) – One driver was killed, and another was hospitalized on Thursday evening, August 27, after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 30 near Bouck Road in the Town of Middleburgh. The collision was reported shortly after 7:00 p.m.
According to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews from the Middleburgh and Schoharie fire departments, Schoharie County EMS, and New York State Police responded to the scene.
First responders provided medical treatment and attempted life-saving measures, but one driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The deceased driver was taken to Ellis Hospital for an autopsy. Route 30 remained closed for an extended period while authorities investigated the collision. Investigators continue reviewing the crash.
