Frazer Township, PA (July 28, 2026) – One person was hurt in a multi-vehicle crash that temporarily closed part of southbound Rte 28 in Frazer Township on Sunday night.
First responders were called to the highway at approximately 9:35 p.m. PennDOT reported that the southbound lanes of Route 28 were closed between Exit 12A (Pittsburgh Mills Blvd) and Exit 12 (Cheswick/Springdale) while emergency units worked at the site. Traffic cameras showed a significant emergency presence below Pittsburgh Mills Boulevard.
Emergency dispatchers confirmed that one person was taken to a hospital following the collision. No additional information about the injured person or the number of vehicles involved was immediately released. The roadway reopened shortly after 11:30 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
