St. Charles County, MO (July 7, 2026) – One person was hurt in a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash on westbound Interstate 70 west of Bryan Road on Sunday, July 5. The collision was reported at 1:43 p.m.
A 27-year-old Troy woman driving a 2014 Ford Escape was unable to stop and struck the rear of a 2015 BMW 335i driven by a 53-year-old O’Fallon man. The BMW was then pushed into the rear of a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 65-year-old St. Peters woman.
The BMW driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to SSM Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis for treatment. The drivers of the Ford Escape and Chevrolet Traverse were not hurt. The Traverse was driven from the scene, while both the Escape and BMW were towed.
The accident remains under active review. We hope the injured driver makes a full recovery.
