What Is Reviewed After a Vehicle Strikes a Home?
When a vehicle leaves the roadway and crashes into a residence, investigators examine several factors to determine how it happened. Tire marks, roadway conditions, vehicle damage, and the point where the vehicle left the pavement can help establish the sequence of events. Damage to the structure is also documented to assess the force of the collision.
Investigators may also inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues while reviewing witness statements and any available surveillance footage. Roadway design, lighting conditions, and driver actions are considered as part of the overall review. Combining these findings helps create a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
