Orange County, FL (June 29, 2026) – A 21-year-old Orlando man lost his life after being struck by a car on Saturday night, June 27, near the intersection of Gatlin Ave and Evander Dr in Orange County. The fatal collision occurred around 10:30 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2014 BMW 535i westbound on Gatlin Avenue when the pedestrian stepped off the south shoulder and attempted to cross the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the roadside. The driver was not hurt and remained at the site following the collision. The victim’s next of kin has been notified.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
