Ontario, NY (August 14, 2026) – One driver died, and another was hospitalized on Wednesday morning after two vehicles collided on State Route 104 in Ontario.
Richard Curran, 80, of Tempe, Arizona, was driving west around 6:20 a.m. when he attempted to turn south onto Furnace Road. His vehicle then collided with an eastbound vehicle.
Curran was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 28-year-old from Penfield, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Both vehicles were towed and impounded following the collision. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
