Menominee Township, MI (July 23, 2026) – One person died, and another was hurt after a UTV wreck near County Road 577 and Birch Creek #6 Road on Tuesday night.
The wreck was reported around 7:52 p.m. Deputies found the UTV driver had been ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering significant traumatic injuries.
A passenger in the UTV was later found nearby and taken to a hospital for treatment. The identities of those involved were not released.
Speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to the wreck. The investigation into the fatal accident remains ongoing. Our condolences go out to the loved ones of the person who died.
