Castro Valley, CA (August 4, 2026) – One person suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Redwood Road and Lessley Avenue in Castro Valley on Sunday, August 2.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported shortly after 2:10 a.m. and involved a blue Honda Civic and a black Nissan. Initial reports indicated that both vehicles were blocking a lane following the crash, prompting an emergency response. Authorities later upgraded the incident from a reported hit-and-run with no injuries to a major-injury collision. A lane remained closed while a tow truck and street sweeper were requested to assist with the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no information about the people involved has been released.
