South Hill, WA (August 4, 2026) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking on a crosswalk along southbound State Route 161 near 176th Street on Sunday morning. The collision happened around 9 a.m. in South Hill.
A 31-year-old Spanaway man was turning right from the Fred Meyer parking lot onto SR 161 at an unmarked intersection when his vehicle hit a 23-year-old Graham man, according to the initial report. The pedestrian was injured but did not die, and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
