Osage, MO (January 2, 2026) – Emergency responders from Osage County were dispatched to a serious two-vehicle accident that left at least two individuals injured on the evening of December 31. The crash occurred at approximately 7:17 p.m. on US 50 at the intersection with County Road 602.

The incident involved a westbound 2001 Chevrolet Colorado driven by a 16-year-old male from Jefferson City and an eastbound 2020 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 19-year-old female from Eugene. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
According to authorities, the Colorado made a turn into the path of the oncoming Silverado, resulting in a significant impact. A 16-year-old female occupant of the Colorado, from Linn, sustained injuries and was transported by Osage County Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for further evaluation.
