Salem Township, OH (June 27, 2026) – Officials reported that an elderly passenger was killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning, June 25, at the intersection of US 22/3 and Middleboro Road in Salem Township.
The collision happened just before 11:30 a.m., when a Toyota Camry traveling north on Middleboro Road entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound Dodge Ram 1500 on US 22/3. Officials said the Camry failed to yield before entering the highway. After the impact, the Dodge left the roadway, returned to the road, and came to a stop, while the Camry traveled off the opposite side of the roadway.
Jerrold Rajewski, 87, who was riding as a passenger in the Camry, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The 86-year-old Camry driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital. The driver of the Dodge was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
