Lowell, VT (June 27, 2026) – A 22-year-old woman lost her life after a side-by-side rollover on Newton Road near Cheney Road in Lowell late Thursday night, June 25. The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Investigators said a Polaris RZR driven by Randy Lemieux II rolled over while traveling on Newton Road. The passenger, Maddison Hayden, 22, of Woodbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lemieux was not injured. Investigators arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence, and he later pleaded not guilty during a court appearance on Friday.
Police also believe speed was a factor in the collision. The circumstances surrounding the wreck continue to be examined.
