San Jose, CA (August 17, 2026) – A pedestrian was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle on southbound I-680 near S King Road in San Jose. The collision was reported on August 16, with emergency units called to the highway shortly before 11:25 p.m.
A gray Chevrolet Silverado was involved in the accident, according to the initial report. A caller said they only saw the silhouette of a pedestrian running across the highway before the person was hit.
Emergency units located the pedestrian and arranged for the person to be taken to a regional hospital for critical injuries. The Silverado was reported on the right-hand side of the highway near the crash location.
