Flint, MI (August 10, 2026) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Flint on Sunday, August 9.
Flint police responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at approximately 2:17 a.m. on James P. Cole Boulevard between Oregon Avenue and Alabama Avenue.
According to police, officers were already at the scene investigating an unrelated traffic crash when a man on foot was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
Police described the suspect vehicle as a gray 2012 Chevrolet Corvette with significant damage to the front right corner. Investigators believe two men were inside the vehicle.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical but stable condition, police said.
Authorities are asking anyone with cell phone video, dashcam footage, or other recordings from the area around the time of the crash to assist with the investigation. No arrests were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
