Columbus, OH (August 15, 2026) – Officials responded on Thursday night, August 13, to a crash in northeast Columbus that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred near Cleveland Avenue and Melrose Avenue at approximately 10:10 p.m.
The driver who allegedly struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and called 911, according to a Columbus public safety dispatcher. Emergency responders took the pedestrian to Riverside Hospital for treatment. Cleveland Avenue was closed at East Weber Road and Milford Avenue following the crash.
