Pulaski County, MO (August 15, 2026) – A 19-year-old female pedestrian was killed on Thursday night after being struck by a Chevrolet Equinox on Hwy 17 near Rocky Mount Ln. The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m.
According to the crash report, the 19-year-old driver of the Equinox was traveling eastbound when the vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:07 p.m. and was taken to Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
The Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was driven from the location. The driver was listed as a 19-year-old man from Falcon, Missouri. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
