Tyler, TX (August 25, 2026) – A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck early on Monday morning in Smith County. The man, who was in his 40s, died from his injuries.
The accident happened on FM 14 at County Road 328 West, near John Soules Foods. Crews were dispatched around 6:25 a.m., and injuries were initially reported.
A justice of the peace confirmed the man’s death. Northbound traffic on FM 14 was moving slowly, while eastbound traffic on County Road 328 toward John Soules Foods was shut down. The collision remains under investigation, with additional details expected as the inquiry continues.
