El Paso, TX (August 25, 2026) – Two people were hurt on Monday morning after a school district police car and a pickup truck collided in Northeast El Paso.
The collision happened near the intersection of Sean Haggerty and US-54. Both people suffered minor injuries, according to information provided by local fire officials.
The El Paso Independent School District said the officer involved did not suffer serious injuries. Dashcam video and photographs shared on social media appear to show the police unit traveling through a red light with its emergency lights flashing before the white pickup struck it.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional details have not yet been released. We hope those hurt make a full and speedy recovery.
