Newport News, VA (June 29, 2026) – A woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Pavilion Pl in Newport News.
Rescue units arrived at the area after receiving reports of the crash at approximately 8:17 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. According to the Newport News Police Department, officers arrived to find the woman with possibly life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A preliminary investigation indicated that she was struck while attempting to cross Jefferson Avenue on foot.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No additional information about the people involved has been released.
