DeKalb County, MO (July 10, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway East and Heimbaugh Road, about two miles west of Santa Rosa in DeKalb County, left a woman moderately injured. The collision occurred around 1:49 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, according to official information.
As stated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2025 Peterbilt was traveling south on Heimbaugh Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Highway East. The truck collided with a westbound 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the intersection.
The Jeep driver, a 54-year-old woman from Pattonsburg, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The Peterbilt driver, a 51-year-old man from Cameron, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
