Brewster, MN (July 3, 2026) – One person was injured on Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of MN Hwy 60 and Nobles County Rd 1 in Brewster.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred at about 4:04 p.m. A 2005 International semi-tractor-trailer was travelling south on County Rd 1 through the crossover to continue across eastbound Hwy 60. At the same time, a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Hwy 60, while a 2026 Mack semi tractor-trailer was stopped at the stop sign on the south side of County Rd 1. All three vehicles collided, and the Silverado rolled into the eastbound ditch.
The Silverado driver, 39-year-old Tyler Russell Brown of Summerset, South Dakota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Worthington Sanford Hospital for treatment. The drivers of the two semi-trucks, 41-year-old Curtis John Madson of Westbrook and 62-year-old Joel Lee McDaniel of Avoca, were not injured.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not suspected as a contributing factor. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation as additional information becomes available.
