Rolla, MO (August 18, 2026) – According to an official statement, five people were injured late on Sunday night after a pickup truck left the roadway on County Road 3060 near Rolla. The crash happened around 11:14 p.m. on August 16.
A 2021 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound when it ran off the right side of the roadway. The truck struck a mailbox and then collided with a tree. The vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene. A 17-year-old Newburg girl and three other occupants suffered serious injuries.
The injured group also included an 18-year-old male driver, an 18-year-old male from Rolla, a 20-year-old woman from Rolla, and a 21-year-old man from Rolla. The 18-year-old driver and another 18-year-old occupant suffered minor injuries. The injured people were taken to hospitals in Phelps County, with the 21-year-old later transported to University Hospital in Columbia.
