Pontiac, MI (May 11, 2026) – A 60-year-old Pontiac man lost his life in a hit-and-run crash late on Sunday night near Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and Featherstone St. The deadly collision happened around 11:41 p.m. on May 10.
According to investigators, the man was crossing Featherstone St in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle. Evidence at the scene showed the victim was dragged for about half a mile from the initial impact site. His body was later discovered on Cameron Avenue just north of Featherstone Street.
Investigators believe the first SUV briefly pulled off the roadway after the collision but did not report the crash. A second SUV traveling east on Featherstone Street also struck the man before leaving the area without stopping.
Emergency units responded to the scene and found the victim deceased upon arrival. Still, authorities are continuing to seek information from the public as they work to identify the drivers involved, and the incident remains under review.
