Los Angeles County, CA (June 20, 2026) – A possible head-on collision involving two vehicles was reported on Friday morning on Angeles Crest Highway near mile marker 31.5 in the Angeles National Forest area.
Dispatch records show the accident was reported at approximately 7:00 a.m. on June 19, near mile marker 31.42, several miles before the junction with Angeles Forest Highway. Early reports described a green Kia Soul and a white sedan involved in the crash. Additional updates later referenced a white pickup truck and indicated that two vehicles with deployed airbags were blocking part of the roadway.
The collision occurred near a fire station along the highway, according to dispatch notes. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and crews worked to clear the roadway throughout the morning. By approximately 7:32 a.m., the roadway had reopened to traffic, though vehicle recovery efforts continued afterward.
