Preston, MD (January 15, 2026) – A serious vehicle crash with entrapment was reported on January 14 at the intersection of Statum Road and American Corner Road in Preston. Multiple first responder agencies were dispatched to the scene to assist with rescue operations.
The incident, which occurred in a rural part of Caroline County, involved at least one vehicle with occupants trapped inside. Emergency crews worked swiftly to extricate the individual(s), using specialized equipment to safely remove them from the wreckage. The condition of those involved has not yet been released, and it is unclear how many people were injured.
Traffic in the area was restricted while the scene was stabilized and medical care was provided. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and whether other vehicles were involved.
