Quincy, IL (March 28, 2026) – Two people were injured following a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck on the Gardner Expressway in Quincy.
According to police, the crash occurred when a car attempted to make a left turn and failed to yield to a northbound semi-truck. The latter struck the vehicle and dragged it approximately 100 feet before coming to a stop.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the occupants of the car trapped inside. Crews worked to extricate both individuals before transporting them to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was evaluated at the scene and released without injuries.
Authorities indicated that citations are expected to be issued in connection with the crash. The incident remains under investigation
