Rescue Efforts After Drivers Are Pinned in Vehicles
Crashes can leave drivers trapped when doors, frames, or dashboards shift during impact. Emergency units may need special tools to open the vehicle and remove injured people safely.
A person who is pinned inside a car may need careful medical checks before being moved. Crews often look for head injuries, neck pain, back trauma, chest injuries, and signs of internal harm.
Even when injuries are not life-threatening, hospital care can help identify problems that are not clear at the scene. Vehicle damage, point of impact, and the time spent trapped can all affect the type of care a patient may need.
