Reynolds Co, MO (January 18, 2026) – Two people sustained moderate injuries on Friday afternoon following a head-on collision on MO-HH, approximately two miles north of MO-34 in rural Reynolds County.
Trooper M. J. Rudy of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on January 16. Investigators say a westbound 2001 Dodge Ram crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound 2009 Chevrolet Impala. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene at the owners’ request.
A 23-year-old man from Piedmont, the driver of the Dodge Ram, and a 21-year-old woman from Poplar Bluff, who was driving the Impala, both suffered moderate injuries. Emergency responders transported both individuals by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
The incident remains under investigation by Troop G, and further details surrounding what led the Dodge Ram to cross into oncoming traffic have not yet been released.
