Richmond, VA (January 12, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 South caused major traffic disruption and left multiple people injured early Friday morning in Richmond.
The incident occurred near exits 74 through 74C, where emergency crews, including Engine 6, responded to the southbound lanes just after 7:30 a.m. Initial reports indicated that several lanes and the right shoulder were blocked due to the severity of the crash.
Virginia State Police and EMS were on the scene assisting with traffic control and patient care. At least three individuals were involved, with one person treated at the scene and others transported to a local hospital for further medical attention. The exact number of vehicles involved has not yet been confirmed.
