Richmond, CA (July 30, 2026) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a traffic collision early on the morning of July 29 along westbound I-80 near the Richmond Parkway off-ramp in Richmond.
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the rider was found down in the No. 3 lane shortly after 4:00 a.m. Initial callers were unsure whether another vehicle was involved or if the motorcycle had gone down on its own.
Information from the dispatch log indicates the rider told emergency units that the motorcycle struck debris somewhere between the Pinole Valley Road and Appian Way areas before the collision. The motorcycle, described as a black Yamaha, reportedly had damage to its front wheel. Tow services were requested to remove the damaged bike from the freeway.
No identities or additional information about the people involved had been released at the time of publication. The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering details.
