Warren County, MO (July 10, 2026) – A motorcyclist died on Wednesday morning after colliding with the rear of a stopped semi-truck on eastbound Interstate 70 in Warren County.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. near mile marker 194.8. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia was stopped in eastbound traffic when a 2016 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special approached from behind and struck the truck’s left rear.
The 45-year-old motorcyclist from Kansas City was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner. The motorcycle was totaled and towed from the roadway. The semi-truck sustained minor damage, and its 56-year-old driver from Baltimore, Maryland, was not reported injured.
Both operators were wearing safety devices appropriate for their vehicles at the time of the collision. No additional vehicles were involved. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances that led to the accident.
