Detroit, MI (August 30, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed in an overnight hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle and a gray sedan at East Outer Drive and McNichols Road. The collision was reported around 2:35 a.m. on Friday, August 28.
According to preliminary dispatch information, officers responded to reports of a motorcycle and gray sedan that had collided. The sedan reportedly had a broken headlight and fled southbound on Conner Street toward Gratiot Avenue after the crash.
Witnesses reported that two people on the motorcycle were ejected after the bike struck a curb. Both were taken to St. John Hospital by ambulance around 2:50 a.m. The available report did not identify the person who died or provide the condition of the second motorcyclist. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
