Granby, MO (June 27, 2026) – A 23-year-old motorcyclist from Neosho was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Hebron Road near Granby on Thursday, June 25, around 5:10 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was operating a westbound 2006 Honda CR900F motorcycle when he lost control while traveling too fast for road conditions. The motorcycle left the roadway, and the rider was ejected before striking an eastbound 2015 Infiniti QX60. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at 5:22 p.m. by the Newton County Deputy Coroner.

The Infiniti driver, a 61-year-old Granby woman, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt. The motorcycle was totaled and removed from the scene, while the SUV sustained minor damage and was driven away.

Our heartfelt sympathy is with the loved ones of the deceased.

Why Motorcycle Crashes Can Lead to Fatal Injuries

Motorcycle crashes can result in serious outcomes because riders have limited protection compared to people inside larger vehicles. Even when riders wear protective equipment such as helmets, they remain more exposed to the force of impact and roadway hazards.

Factors such as speed, road conditions, visibility, and vehicle movement can affect how a motorcycle crash develops. When a rider loses control, the distance traveled after leaving the roadway can also influence the severity of injuries. Reviewing these details helps provide a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding a collision.
