Groton, MA (July 6, 2026) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries on Saturday morning, July 4, after a crash at the intersection of Old Ayer Road and Boston Road (Route 119) in Groton. Emergency units responded at approximately 8:34 a.m. after reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Officials said the motorcycle rider, a man in his 40s, sustained significant lower-body injuries in the crash. He was flown by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The circumstances leading up to the collision have not been released as of the time of this report. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with more information expected to be released later.
