Old Saybrook, CT (August 9, 2026) – A minivan overturned on southbound Route 9 near Exit 2 in Old Saybrook on Friday morning, August 7, injuring two Essex residents. The crash happened at approximately 6:55 a.m.
A 2003 Honda Odyssey EXL veered off the right side of the highway and entered an embankment. The minivan then struck the tree line and rolled onto its roof. The 40-year-old woman driving the minivan and a 46-year-old male passenger were both taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with possible serious injuries. Their current conditions were not provided. The crash remains under review by authorities.
