South Bend Township, MN (August 24, 2026) – A 42-year-old woman was killed, and a 42-year-old man was injured after a pickup truck lost a tire and rolled into the median on Highway 169. The fatal crash happened on Saturday afternoon, August 22, around 1:33 p.m. at milepost 50 in South Bend Township.
According to the crash report, a 1982 Chevrolet C20 was traveling north on Highway 169 when it lost a tire. The truck then rolled into the median. The passenger, Aja Katherine St Peter of Madison Lake, died in the crash.
The driver, Justin Steven St Peter, also of Madison Lake, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.
