Sacramento, CA (January 5, 2026) – A bicyclist was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle during a multi-vehicle accident on Ramona Avenue in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on January 4 and involved at least one vehicle and a bicycle. While the exact circumstances leading up to the incident have not been released, the collision resulted in visible injuries to the cyclist.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the injured bicyclist to Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Center. Officials confirmed the rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as authorities responded to the scene and worked to determine the cause of the collision.
CHP has launched an investigation and is reviewing what led to the accident. No additional injuries or citations have been reported at this time.
