Rollover Crash Risks at Major Intersections
Rollover crashes can cause severe injuries because a vehicle may strike the ground, nearby objects, or other vehicles more than once. People inside the vehicle can also be thrown around during the rollover.
Major intersections can add risk because vehicles may be crossing, turning, or entering access roads at the same time. A crash at these locations may block several lanes and affect nearby businesses or side streets.
After a rollover, emergency units often check for trapped occupants, broken glass, fuel leaks, and debris. Medical teams may also look for head injuries, internal trauma, and other injuries that can happen during a violent impact.
