San Antonio, TX (January 12, 2026) – A woman was ejected from a pickup truck during a serious crash involving a highway work crew’s vehicle early Monday morning on the city’s north side. The collision took place on Loop 1604 westbound near the Northeast Military Dr exit, prompting a full emergency response just after 1:00 a.m.
San Antonio police reported that a man and woman were traveling in a black pickup truck when the driver collided with the rear of a stationary arrow board truck used by road crews. The impact caused the pickup to spin out, leading to the ejection of the female passenger from the vehicle.
San Antonio Fire Department crews and EMS arrived swiftly, rendering aid to both occupants. The woman and the male driver were transported to University Hospital, where they remain in stable condition as of Monday morning. Authorities noted that the woman’s injuries were serious enough to raise the possibility of felony charges.
