San Diego, CA (January 18, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash near Tulane St in the San Diego area Saturday morning, where a 51-year-old man sustained injuries to his lower extremities.
The incident occurred on January 17 at approximately 9:41 a.m. According to emergency personnel, the rider was navigating a corner at an estimated 25 to 30 miles per hour when he lost control of the motorcycle and slid off the roadway. The man reportedly fell into a grassy area, suffering impact-related injuries to his left knee and ankle.
Responders confirmed that the motorcyclist was wearing full protective gear, including a helmet, and had not struck his head during the crash. He remained fully alert at the scene, was not under the influence of any substances, and displayed no signs of head, neck, or back trauma.
Following the evaluation, the man chose to decline hospital transport and signed an AMA (Against Medical Advice) release. He was advised of the potential risks, including worsening symptoms or delayed complications. His wife was en route to pick him up and monitor his recovery at home.
